Josyane Vanounou

Josyane Vanounou was born in France in 1949. In the early 1990s, she completed her studies in Art and since then has presented her works in numerous locations in Israel and abroad. Her work is in constant flux. In her recent video creations, photography is the raw material and the focus around which the drawing action develops. The drawing in these works is a kind of “recycled time”/”circular time”. In this context, the drawing itself becomes material for the re-creation of movement. Vanounou makes use of photography as in a magazine that seeks to be read from within the letters of the original text, which have been erased long ago.
